Adriana Francesca Lima is a beautiful Brazilian model, cited by popular media as one of the world's sexiest women. Adriana is known as a Victoria's Secret Angel since 2000. She is also a spokes model for Maybelline Cosmetics since 2003. Adriana is 5ft 10" with brown hair and blue eyes. She speaks her native Portuguese, as well as English, French, and a bit of Italian. Lima is a Catholic who attends Church every Sunday.
Adriana was born on June 12th, 1981 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. After winning many beauty pageants in elementary school, she later had a friend in school that wanted to enter a modeling contest and didn't want to enter alone, so Lima entered with her. Both girls sent in pictures and soon the contest sponsor asked Adriana to come out for the competition. She finished in first place in Ford's "Supermodel of Brazil" model search at the age of 15. In 1996 she entered the Ford "Supermodel of the World" contest and finished in second. Lima moved to New York City three years later and signed with Elite Model Management. She acquired representation and her modeling portfolio expanded quickly.
She was married to Serbian basketball player Marko Jarić on February 14th, 2009. Lima and Jarić are reportedly expecting their first child in December 2009. She has also recently applied for Serbian citizenship in order to promote a positive image of Serbia abroad. She works for Marilyn Agency.
